Thanks for the interest.  I just don't get it the whole family just seems to disappear.

I know that in 1902 he's in Brighton,  as he  marries there.

I think that the 1891 ref for Sarah may be onto to something.  So will look those up.

Sarah is a bit of an enigma as well, as she doesn't appear on the 41 or 51.  I am begining to think that the entire family has access to some sort of invisability cloak.

Just wish the coat had been handed down to my part of the family.  Oh well the curse of being descended from the youngest member. ;)

There's a death:
Richard Maskell
age 24 (3 years out)
Brighton Mar 1887 2b 145

The age is 3 years out but I can't see a Richard Maskell born ca. 1863 on census  ???

Right - but then we don't know who registered his death and said he was 24  ;)... I'm not saying it's him - I just wouldn't rule him out.  :)

True, and I can't find another Richard born in 1863 that fits either.

Still can't find Fred though  :( and Sarah earlier on is still missing :( :(

However there is a bit more to add to the tree though :)

Check Army Records for the missing males .... just searching on age, christian name and PoB doesnt reveal them, so they either got missed or were genuinely away ...

What's the best site for these.  Not had to do a UK search for Army Records yet.

Post a request on the 'Armed Forces' Board .... or have a hunt around in the Ntaional Archives etc ... I'd let the experts on that Board try first ...
