I need help locating his parent and where he was bapt. please.

Jean Baptiste (La) Plante
born 1819 in L'Assomption,Quebec
died Feb. 12,1894 Bonfield,Ont.
married July 22,1849 at Mount St.Patrick,Ont.
Caroline Boivin
born Jan 12,1828 Rigaud,Quebec
died April 1913 Bonfield,On.

Only one of their children carried the name Plante,the rest
Laplante.
I would really like to know who are his parent for certain.

On the IGI....There is a Christening, 1818 in Lacadie, St.-Jean, Quebec....for a Jean Baptiste Plante to a Jean Baptiste Plante who seems to come from a long line of male parentage using that fore name....J.J.

I see nothing of a Jean ( john) nor Caroline Plante/ La plante on the 1881 for Ontario...I suppose parents weren't listed on the death information? J.J.

There is no parent for him on his marriage cert. nor his death. On his death vital they say he a farmer and from L'Assomption,Quebec born about 1819. I have done lots of search in Ontario for him but nothing.And his wife Caroline Boivin I do have her parent.
If I can only get Jean Baptiste parents and date of birth my brick wall would be broken.
