The Mary COOKE who died on 14 March 1924 I believe may have been the aunt of the RAWSONs who inherited her estate based on the following:
Link to the marriage in 1870 of
Lewis Manseragh RAWSON MD (son of Lewis Manseragh RAWSON)
to Sarah Alice COOKE (daughter of Michael COOKE & [
Lydia Sarah JONES from separate source])
witnessed by Mary COOKE and Edward A RAWSON
Lewis Manseragh RAWSON born c1861 d.11 Jun 1878 Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow
Children
1874 Lydia Barbara RAWSON born Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow
1878 Mary RAWSON born Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow
Widow Sarah Alice RAWSON nee COOKE m Frederick P FAWCETT
1886 Dublin South Q3 V2 P523
Link/detail of Birth/Baptism records of children
1889 Albert Frederick FAWCETT d.28 Aug 1889 aged 8 months
1890 Arthur Edward FAWCETT possibly married Dorothy Irene SPENCE in Belfast 1916
1891 Stanley William FAWCETT d.10 Mar 1891 aged 5 weeks
1893 Hilda Alice FAWCETT d. 1972 Dublin
Headstone Detail from Photograph #8409Family listed on the
1901 census at 325 in Rathgar Road (Rathmines, Dublin)
and in 1911 at 184 in Rathgar Road (Rathmines & Rathgar West, Dublin) as previously stated.
Frederick FAWCETT died in 1914 and
(Sarah)Alice FAWCETT died in 1919;
it is possible that the children’s maternal aunt Mary COOKE moved in with them and died there in 1924
I am not sure if any of this helps link Mary to your SWENYs and MOSLEYs though….!
Editted to say; I think I have a connection-
The grave that Lydia and Mary RAWSON are buried in, is that of their maternal aunt
Margaret COOKE who married William ASHLEY in 1868
In
the 1901 census Margaret ASHLEY is listed at
10 in Harrington Street (Fitzwilliam, Dublin)
with others including her sister MARY COOKE and her widowed cousin LYDIA MOSLEY!
1867 Marriage of
Lydia SWENY dau of Eugene to Alfred Richard MOSLEY son of William
If Margaret in 1901 described herself as a cousin of Lydia MOSLEY's and a sister to Mary COOKE
logically Mary is also Lydia's Cousin; when Lydia died her estate went to Lydia NICOL nee ASHLEY
Happy hunting!
