Thank you all for your help.  Attempts to obtain death cert have failed.  Has anyone tried entering the name 'John Fyfe' in Scotland's People'  -  there's   -  quite a few!!  Will keep trying.

I'm sure there's a lot of John Fyfe's Stanley but based on the ages he gave in 1841 and around his death there must some way of narrowing the years?  John, Andrew William, George and Isabella would be names worth looking out for in the parents
