Lost Hennesy's Cardiff/Pontypridd

Following on from my marriage certificate query I have another one relating to Catherine Lyons nee Hennesy. She appears after her marriage in the 1891 & 1901 censuses living in Llantrisant. In both of these her place of birth is given as Cardiff and date of birth about 1869. If I have the right marriage certificate she lived Pontypridd in1888 ( same address on wedding certificate for her and her husband) and married in the Catholic church in Treforest.
My problem is that I can find no record of her before her marriage, either of her birth or in the 1881 or 1871 censuses. She's obviously of Irish extraction (father Patrick & a navvie) so may have been born in Ireland & moved to Cardiff when young but should at least be in the 1881 census. I can't find her father either. I have tried the various possible spellings of Hennesy. Has anyone any suggestions where I can look next?

Thanks but no, I've no info on brothers & sisters, as after her marriage she only lived with her husband & children. Its very frustrating how someone can be easy to find in later censuses & disappear completely from earlier ones. I've another ancestor in Kent who doesn't seem to exist as a child when he woul have lived with parents & siblings but seems to materialise fully grown age 25! Perhaps there are aliens amongst us after all!

Hi
Often you find children living with grandparents or aunts. I have a one relative at the age of 13 living with her aunty down as a domestic servant. So they can hide. But I also have relatives missing on census it, so >>>>>>>>>
You know what i mean
Maybe someone else wil have an idea
good luck
cheers cardiff

There's a Catherine Hennessy, age 12, in 1881 at 44 & 45 Quarry Row Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan. Head of household ~ James Hennessy, Iron Labourer. There might be a connection??

Thanks for your efforts, its much appreciated as I'm totally stuck with Catherine.
I've already looked long & hard at that entry. Its got the only Catherine Hennesey of the right age in Wales. I was put off at first by the fathers name being wrong but I've since learnt that father's names on marriage certificates sometimes were. In fact her husbands father on the same certificate was wrongly named. The witnesses were Elizabeth Ryan & Jeremiah Sullivan, both suprisingly common names at the time & I haven't been able to find a link.
Apart from the fact that if she's a Merthyr Hennesey I've no way of confirming it I'm put off by the fact that on subsequent censuses her place of birth was given as Cardiff. The Merthyr Henneseys were supposedly born in Parish Myron. Looking at the actual census return that could be Byron but I can find no record of such a place. Its certainly not part of Cardiff. I've Googled variations of it to no avail.
So I'm stuck! Would be very grateful if everyone could put their thinking caps on & come up with some more ideas!

Have just had another look at the Merthyr Hennessys & think I can rule them out. James the father was still alive & living with some of his children in 1901 whereas Catherine's marriage certificate says her father was deceased.
Interestingly in 1891 their place of birth was given as Ireland which seems likely as there's no record of them before 1881, however in 1901 the children thought they'd been born in Merthyr.
This still leaves Catherine materializing out of thin air on her wedding day! HELP PLEASE!!!!
