BOLITHO & PAUL Redruth Marriage 1835 "completed"
« on: Saturday 13 January 07 17:59 GMT (UK) »
Hello there,  ;)

Found a new Puzzle - one of my ancesters - Jane Paul (born 6/04/1813 chr 10 /04/1813 at Gunvrea,St. Agnes), Jane is reputed to have married Richard Bolitho at Redruth on 09/07/1835.

The Lds igi states the same -  :P

But, there is no trace so i have been told of the marriage in the parish and i can find no trace of husband and wife in any census!!! :o

Is there a moving black hole - it seems like it at times - all help appreciated - regards - Luc.  :)

The IGI entry is an Original, 'extracted' record - not one submitted by a well intentioned member of the LDS Church - so it should be fine ?

Have you looked at the LDS/IGI Fiche at one of their local centres ?

Janes a bit young ... and this '1st child' probably means recently married so doubt this is them on reflection ...

Hi Newfy,

Thanks for the encouragement !! ;D

Sadly it appears that Walter is the child of Jane Frances Tonkin and Richard Bolitho who married in 1839 at Famouth according to Bob Bolitho site -http://users.tpg.com.au/bbolitho/Bolitho/UKM1.htm/  ::)

What a shame - but, thanks for trying  it is appreciated - :D
 regards -Luc. :)

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo - you have to read the Aubrey books by Patrick OBrian - they based the recent film ' Master & Commander' on the series ...

Hi Luc,

Just wondering if you have checked the correct Redruth Parish. I see the marriage took place at Redruth St Uny 9 Jun 1835. I can't see them in the census either, nor do I see and deaths, perhaps they emigrated.

Looks like at least 3 couples named Richard and Jane about at that time.

Cheers Kris  :D
