I've had no reply yet from Thornton but I think we are going to have to turn our attention to chuchyard burials rather than municipal cemeteries as we are running out of options.
Dawn, please refresh me on what you are waiting for from Thornton. Are we duplicating things here?
I posted details about Elizabeth's cremation and scattering of ashes.
Thornton wasn't open at the date Robert died but it seems unlikely that he would be buried in the Thornton area unless there was a family grave somewhere.
He died in Garston so if he isn't buried in the southern end of Liverpool then I think a private grave might be likely, possibly with his parents? but where?
To clarify what I am waiting on from Thornton is contact from the person who arranged Elizabeth's cremation. This depends on whether they are still at the same address after all these years and secondly whether they are interested enough to make contact anyway.
