As most letters to newpapers seeking descendants of families are published could anybody tell me where the sister of Robert Wm Stead was found to be living?

I have researched for 30 years without a computer and have had phenomenal success from newspaper letters.  Perhaps our luck will strike with this Stead family if their name is printed in a local paper.

Thank you Shaun.   I will write to the newspaper for descendants of Norah.

I will also send to the Libverpool papers.

I bet you any money .... he's with his Mum and Dad !!  :-\

but where ???? ... and I'm sure he'd have a headstone .... I keep going back to Anfield ... I really have a strong feeling he's there !

He's not at Anfield according to the chap at Liverpool council see #537, he would still have a separate listing somewhere even if he was interred with his parents.

I've had no reply yet from Thornton but I think we are going to have to turn our attention to chuchyard burials rather than municipal cemeteries as we are running out of options.

I'm 'out of the area' in London and have no local knowledge, sorry

Norah,

We are pretty certain that Norah Stead/Dobell has no descendants. In her Will she makes bequests to her gardener, her housekeeper, her Crease cousins, and various other individuals, but the bulk of her estate was left to her brother-in-law Arthur Dobell. No mention of any children.

That is a problem, Shaun, her Crease cousins could be anywhere other then on the Wirral.

Perhaps it would be a good thing if anybody has Ancestry they could find the person in the Stead family who married a Crease but then they may be on her mother's side.

I do think it is necessary to  investigate the family of Robert now that  the information about his wife Elizabeth
has been found.

It's already known, Norah.

Norah's aunt Alice Richards married Miller Crease. They had 3 children that we know of, Alice 1901, Emily 1902 and Robert Miller Crease 1907 (d. 1984).

Shaun, without reading all this thread , were the Crease family in the Liverpool district?
