Hello All,
Many - many - messages ago reference was made to an 'event' in Bucklow (Registration District) in Cheshire.    Was this a line that it was deciided not to follow up?

I've just read the whole thread and it's taken a long time.  It is amazing what you started Annie on behalf of Michel.   It is also amazing how everyone has chipped in and how it has stirred everyone's imagination and emotion,   Well done everybody.

  Going over it all again and again but nothing any clearer. It did however google Robert Stead Liverpool ....and ....some one on curious fox is looking for details on his grandfather William Stead of Liverpool but no dates are given....clutching at even tiny straws now...

I'm  sure I remembered a reference to Bucklow - but cannot remember where I saw it.  It wasn't referred to again.   As I live in 'Bucklow' I just thought there was maybe something I could pick up on.

I've found the reference to Bucklow.

Mary A noted that Elizabeth N Stead had married Frank Hurst in Bucklow im Sep Q 1940.  Am I right in that this was Robert's sister?  It would appear that she moved to Liverpool and she died there aged 94?   Am I completely off the track?  No children have been found for Frank Hurst and herself.  Perhaps not surprisingly as she was 45 when she married.

Have I got the right picture?

Everybody was trying to find more extended family and we kept getting dead ends !!

Thank you so much for that though ....  if you happen to find something out about that family we'd love to hear it !

The fact we know the quarter and year does that narrow it down in any way. As regards looking it up? Surely between the genius' found on here it should be a doddle!!! If he was cremated would there be a record?
Not a grave record particularly.
