Sadly haven't seen much of Annie, not sure if she is still "doing" roots.
I am sure you are all aware of her sons passing! It would be great if an ending that was satisfactory to Michel could be found!
Annie and crew worked so hard on this it would be wonderful to have a result

Has anyone got an update on this subject yet? I have just read the whole story. It would be great to hear of a happy ending. Maybe Michael can up date us? I can't believe the amount of work that has gone into this. I have an old family bible that was left to my father, it would be great to reunite it with the family. It was to do with the slave trade. I would not know where to begin, I was even having thoughts of giving it to the William Brown library. it is only sitting in the bottom of my wardrobe in a carrier bag. Please someone update us on this wonderful tale. Take care all, Lynn
I am researching the following names.....Owen/s-Holyhead, Rimmer/Lewis-West Derby, Wood/s/Hayter-Toxteth

I don't know if I'm allowed to bring this subject back to the surface, but it was just so fascinating I wondered what the final result was.

Has anything else been found out, I'd love to know.

Sorry you guys to have been so lax with this .... I haven't had any notifications  :P

Plus I have to admit - it was on the back burner for a while !!  :-\

OK there is no update I'm afraid ..... we just can't seem to get over the hump !! Everywhere we go ... there's a dead end !!

The very first line of the first post I said this .... and it's still true !!  ::)

Quote
Most people know how I go gaga over WW1 soldiers .......... but this soldier is an enigma ........

I'd love to be able to give this a happy ending for Michel .... I know it's very dear to his heart ..... but I'm all out of creative ideas .... the Echo never did do anything to my knowledge ..... and we kept running out of family to research .... I just wish that "some little clue " would turn up that could make us off and running again !!

I know people have been reading it .... but if you guys have any bright ideas .... "lay 'em out " as sometimes it just takes one thing - to spark everybody off !!

Oh Annie :'(.......its been blood and sweat (ok and a few tears) over this and I would just love to see the finish I think it deserves.

The echo have lost out on this as I feel we could have made some ground.
I really dont know where to try as we seem to have covered every possible line.

Did we try local radio? So many pages I cannot remember.
Do any of the names appear on Friends re-united? Possible younger family members ...ok maybe clutching at straws but !

I keep looking at this and thinking we just have to keep trying.... Annie did the ECHO ever publish an article ? ...I looked online for weeks and never saw anything ..  what about writing to Liverpool Football club to publish  a letter in their programme ...knowing how proud a people they are they may be prepared to give us a bit of publicity to find the rellies of one of their own !! Just  a thought !!  :-\ ??? ???
