aah I didn't look in any other schools only Liverpool Collegiate School. it took them long enough to get them out as you can only ask for 5 items at a time and they only get archives out every 15mins. They were saying they were very busy today for the time of year and they were shortstaffed as well. It didn't help that I was looking at court indictment records which are in massive boxes and there some rumblings about how many I was requesting

I asked if I could find a newspaper obit for  Arthur Edward Dobell .... and this was the reply !

Unfortunately, due to a lack of storage space, we are only able to keep copies of the Western Gazette for about seven years.
 
However, copies of the newspaper are put onto microfilm and stored at the Yeovil Reference Library, second floor.
 
I am afraid we do not have the staff available to undertake research projects on behalf of readers, but I am sure, if you contact them directly, you will be able to make an appointment to view the microfilm for November 1986 and get a copy of the obituary you require.
