Why don't you finish the story off properly Mary ?? ...... you usually say ..........

 " I know this woman in America .... and she's crazier than me ! ....... and she wants  .............. " !!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Annie  ::)

I have an idea I've mentioned her once or twice along the way  ;D ;D ;D  The things we do for our friends  ::) ::)

Guess you can tell I went to the pantomime last weekend then  ;D

We could do with some fresh suggestions, I think my brain is getting bogged down in where we've been, can anyone see any new lines of attack?

Annie,

That one-name study is the site where I originally found the details of Robert' Stead's death and the name of his widow - a long way back - a whole week ago !! Like you I didn't find anything else there that we don't know already.

There are some  names and addresses  in Nora's Will to be followed up - I just got a copy from Anna (thanks again Anna!)

I was sort of hoping that this isn't him http://www.stead-steedons.co.uk/probate/192b/p1926b18.htm , but I checked the GRO deaths and there is a Robert William Stead age 30 registered in Liverpool 4Q 1926 8b p73. The age is right.
