Still been wondering whether St Stephen's Gateacre has any records for the funeral of Robert but I keep ringing one number, a recorded message asks me if I want the vicar then to phone a different number, which then gives me another number for the office, which was the first number I started with ..... am I going around in circles here???

I'm reluctant to leave a message on the machine since I'm sure it would sound a bit garbled  ::)

Hi Everyone I am following the plot was tipped off by kidsnana that an interesting search had opened. I hope that you come to a successful result. I got a bit lost somewhere in the middle of the trail to be honest. Well done you're as usual doing a splendid job.

I just found the wedding of Reginald Crease's younger sister Ethel - same location as Reginald and Euphemia but 3 years later:

1931: Ethel I CREASE married John BURTON at Walton, Trinity URC, Orrell & Rice Lanes Liverpool

NB Mary - next time you update the site could you take Reginald out from under Miller ? Thanks

I finally  managed to get through to the Reverend at St Stephens who told me that the Gateacre Society could well be able to help, there was an archivist who specialised in WWI soldiers, although we know he didn't go to Gateacre until after that, they still might be able to help.

I've sent an email through the website and will just have to wait.
