This looks to be the son of Reginald Crease and Euphemia Keay:

Been trying to figure out where Reginald Crease fits in. It look's like he's Miller Crease's nephew, not his son as first thought.

Robert Crease 45  Musical instrument dealer b. Scotland

Gertrude J Crease 11  do
Reginald S Crease 9
Ethel J Crease 7  do
Anne E Banks 26  servant

Robert Crease 34 Musical instrument dealer b. Scotland
Alice H Crease 33  B. Liverpool
Edith H Crease 5  do
Lilian Crease 3 do
Gertrude I Crease 1  do
James Fell 76  widower father in law Z
Annie Selby 20 servant

1881 census: 12 Aughton Street Everton

Just tidying up a detail:Tazzie found the GRO birth reference for Elizabeth Neil Grant on Monday

Quote

We have absolutely nothing on Elizabeth Grant except her marriage, except an assumption of her birthdate from her death.

If Elizabeth remarried she may still at least be in the same area as her birth is....

  Elizabeth Neil Grant West Derby 1895 Q2 8b 505.

So her family would still be around her.

Morning all!

Glad it was a quiet day at work yesterday, today is a bit busier so I may not get as much done, although priority will probably be to try and update the website as we go along.

Doreen, I checked streetmap.co.uk and Leven Street is there, just off Westminster Road, and as the census says "Kirkdale" I think this is right.

I never gave a thought to a brother of Miller Crease, it just shows to go you that you always need to work backwards to come forwards, well I hope the Crease connection pays off.  There's another brother there too I see, Archibald.

My apologies to Tazzie for overlooking the BMD reference for Elizabeth, I can only put it down to tiredness by the time I was working through everything and I'll be sure to add it onto the Gedcom.

Annie, I think it's time to ask for this to be moved, I hadn't realised that it wasn't showing up in the indexes, it's surprising so many people have just "come across" it.  I agree it's a serious bit of research and definitely not "off topic" in case anybody is researching these names in the future.

I don't know if Michel wants to keep the button, I wonder if he doesn't would it be of interest to any of our museums, together with a copy of the story too!

Mary
