Oh you are such a nice guy RT  :D

I wonder if Alice H Crease was in fact a Mrs or was it just noted as that rather than admitting to being a single woman?

The Rt. Crease in Walton is obviously the shop we are remembering.

Reginald looks interesting too of course.  East Orchard Lane is in Fazakerley too, off Longmoor Lane.

There are no Crease music companies of any sort appearing in the Yellow Pages.

Bucklow was the Registration District, not necessarily the place they lived and it was two years before the marriage, however I suspect that by then people were often tending to move around more than they had in the 19th Century.  After all, if we have the right Elizabeth then at some stage she returned to Merseyside later.

Just ramblin ain't I? it's not getting us any living family .... yet.

I wonder if someone could check the 1990 Probate Calendar for the Grant of Representation for the estate of Elizabeth Neil Hurst ? If we could identify the executors or administrators, and/or get a copy of the will if one exists, we should be nearly there....

It would mean a visit to First Avenue House or a District Probate registry http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/1226.htm. Would all district offices have the complete Calendar for 1990 ?

Hi Rootschatters - I haven't contributed to this thread before, but since I work very close to First Avenue House I popped over there.  Elizabeth made a will (hurrah) which I have ordered, so I will have her will & grant in one hour.

What a star you are Anna!!!

I'd send you some smilies but I'm afraid they would put you off, they look a little strange at present!

Well the Creases don't seem to be very prolific in the birthing department, but there is at least one son to Reginald and Euphemia

Robert I Crease   West Derby 8b 711   December qtr 1928   Mother's Maiden name - Keay

so more Roberts.  I searched up to 1937 and then wondered whether Euphemia had died but up to 1937 also there was no sign of her death, nor any in the Liverpool area for that matter.
