Yes Wendi, that's the address and I found the phone number too, unfortunately this now diverts direct to the Registrar's Office, I suppose there must have been too many people asking queries.  All searches now have to be put into writing, sent to Allerton and charged £10.  Not sure how much information we would get from just a grave plot for £10, even the death certificate is cheaper than that.

I see the name Robert Crease Doreen, it looks coincidental that the name Robert might be carried down the line .... I know it's speculation that this music shop is connected to the same Crease family just because of Miller's occupation but am I taking a leap of faith here -

Birth of
Alice Crease September qtr 1901 West Derby 8b 575
Emily Crease December qtr 1902 West Derby 8b 554
Robert Miller Crease December qtr 1907 West Derby 8b 618

Searching 192.com also finds a Vera Crease and a William M Crease in Merseyside in the Historical Electoral Rolls, no saying what date, they are usually about 2002.  Could that middle initial also be M for Miller?

I wonder if someone could check the 1990 Probate Calendar for the Grant of Representation for the estate of Elizabeth Neil Hurst ? If we could identify the executors or administrators, and/or get a copy of the will if one exists, we should be nearly there....

It would mean a visit to First Avenue House or a District Probate registry http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/1226.htm. Would all district offices have the complete Calendar for 1990 ?

You should be fast asleep Annie!!!
NEMS, well I thought of the music shop too, but Doreen's directory said furniture??
Remember the little booths where you listened to the record on headphones, we must have looked pretty silly dancing around to silence in the shop, but we thought we were soooo cool.

Oh well, quick response from the Record Office about looking up burials

"Unfortunately, it is not possible to ascertain, from the place and date of death, in which cemetery a person is buried. Liverpool Record Office holds burial records relating to Liverpool's municipal cemeteries, but, if Elizabeth Neil Hurst resided in Sefton, it is possible that she is buried in a Sefton cemetery. I have attached an information leaflet with further details. I have also attached a research form,  as a search through several cemeteries could take longer than the free fifteen-minute research we can offer.
If you live near Liverpool Record Office, you may find it useful to check through local newspapers of the time, in case a death notice appears with burial details.  Again, an information leaflet is atached"

It does look like a look up jobbie in the Liverpool Echo, even if the death was as far out as Crosby or even Formby the likelihood is that the funeral notice would have been placed in the Echo as nearly everybody does use that one.

Anybody going to the Record Office?? It's Elizabeth Neil Hurst died January 1990 we're after.
