So Elizabeth's father lived in Blundellsands, and we know that Elizabeth lived in Blundellsands in later life. I wonder if she went back there to live with her father after Robert's death, and whether Robert might be buried in or near Blundellsands/Crosby. Was Thornton Garden of Rest open back then, or is that a little later?

Bootle cemetery opened in 1913 and it lists an entrance off Lydiate Lane.

Thinking of Chuch Graveyards from experience I have had to contact the Clergy to find who is buried in them. You could walk around and there not be a headstone.
have heard from Church wardens etc on family tree searches.

He died too late for a CWGC grave the cut off yr is 1921 I think. I would think he woudnt be in the Catholic or Jewish Cemetery. At my Cemetery office they charge you if they look up but let the public look up them selves. I found that also over in Dukinfield. Its easy knowing the date you just get the book for the year and whip to the month. They only have the Town Cemeteries listed though, Church ones are in the Churches own records. If you went to the liverpool Record Office they would be on micro under Parish Burials!
