My master plan is to book next month when OH gets paid.

If I leave it untill nearer the time there will be more bills to pay and I will end up being absent  :( ::)

So, Poll Pm me with the details and if it's in my price range I'll meet you over breakfast - we can talk in whispers and try not to stir our tea too loudly (don't you just hate that - sorry that's another topic :))

If not I'll stay in the poor relation side, keeping with the true sense of my family history  ;) :D

Changing the subject slightly. I'm trying to put a few serious trips together  :)

Is anyone going to be anywhere near the Mitchell Library in the not too distant future? It has been extended/renovated (BBC Scotland last night and their website) and I would be interested to have feed back on the cafe and possible tours.

I'll e-mail them about tours on a Saturday when I get some feedback.

Thanks

Hi
The dates are in my work diary now so won't double book.

Poll is the hotel one with a 'prickly' name? ;)
If so I have stayed there it is great. Think I will get there Friday night and home on Sunday (need to sort out my young teenager for the weekend)

Think a few of us might be making a weekend of it - perhaps we might even meet up on the Friday evening at one of Prue's hostelries  :D

We'll also need to check up on the Celtic/Rangers fixtures  but it's a bit too early and that's just not cricket  ::) ::) ::)

Look, I'm just interested in sampling the local atmosphere  ;D  If some local refreshments are included, then so be it!

Do pubs in Scotland have jam sessions with traditional musicians like the ones in Ireland?  I LOVE Scottish music (got a set of bagpipes, me - not that I can play them very well  :-\ :-\ :-\  )
