Clara, I also haven't any Scottish ancestors, I'm just coming along to chat put faces to names and visit general places of interest in Glasgow.

 I went to the Manchester meet last year and I had visions of a dusty old room with some Rootschatters gathered around a micro fiche reader.  Of course it was nothing of the sort.

The meets are for anyone who has a general interest in family history.  If someone wants to research their own surname interests whilst visiting Scotland then so be it but we won't be breathing down their necks at the microfiche.....

we'll probably be in the pub  ;D ;)
