I have a Canon Smartbase MP360 and everyone in the family is very satisfied with it. It's not very expensive and compatible cartridges for Canon printers are easy to find.

Best on the market for cost, quality & speed at the mo would the HP PSC Model's.
I've bought a few in lately for our remote workers - beauty of them is that they also have a small form factor.

If you need any help feel free to ask  :)

As much as I like HP products I would have to throw my hat into the ring in support of the Epson RX500 which is also available from ebuyer ...check the search facility in the link provided by Badger.

The image quality is superb, the features available "futureproof" it for a while anyway  ;D and compatible cartridges are available from a number of sources.

Thanks to everyone who gave some input. It will certainly make my job of choosing a printer a bit easier!
