Roper 1871 census lookup Mexborough

I am trying to find out about my ancestor William Roper (born 1838 approx.), married to Louisa Ann Bisby (born 1842 Mexborough) in 1862. I wonder if anyone can find him on the 1871 census, living in the Mexborough area of South Yorkshire and with two children, Eliza (b.1869 Mexborough) and James (b.1866 Mexborough). I am particularly interested in his place of birth.
He could be listed as either a canal boatman or a carter.

If you have them in  alter census please post in the transcript. That way someone can see instantly if there is a match/mismatch in any possibles that they find. If you do not have the later census, please indicate what birth years/places you do have.

Hi,
I'm Luann Roper and William Tustain Roper was my great great grandfather. I'd be interested to know how far you got with your research. I did quite a lot 4 years ago and am just about to start again.

Sorry to add a message only loosely related to the original, but I am looking for Luann Roper, daughter of Peter W and Helen U H Roper - and a Google search produced this thread. If the person who posted back in 2017 picks this up, could she get in touch? Slim chance,I am sure, but you never know.

Hi I'm Luann Roper and had family at MExborough but my parents names were totally different - sorry.
