Can Anyone Fix This 1971 Photo

This picture was taken in about 1971 at a cousins engagement party.  The original is gone and what I'm left with is this very bad photo on my hard drive.  Can anyone fix it?

I really don't have any pictures of my parents taken together when they were young so it means a lot to me.

For the welcome and the picture.  You're right on both counts...this is a really great site and this is a very poor scan!  Scanned it when I first got my scanner many moons ago and never realized what a poor job I did scanning it. 

Regardless, unless by some miracle the original shows up again this is all I have.

Thanks for all your help an effort.  Think I'll be hanging around for a while.  Been trying my hand at restorations but I know nothing of the tricks.  Great place to learn! :)

Hi Nuccia and welcome!

I've had a bit of play and tried to enlarge it for you, but as you can appreciate there is not much to work with.

I've also tried to clean it but it's difficult without loosing detail.
