Caunce(s) family Rufford 1800
« on: Wednesday 03 January 07 18:05 GMT (UK) »
I found a devotional book in an Oxfam shop. The book was printed in 1807. The owner in 1819 was Thomas Counce(s) who lived in Rufford. Can anyone identify his family ?
Thanks

Hi May

I have lots of ancestors from Rufford, including some named Caunce [but not a Thomas] & I know that there are a couple of researchers out in the ether who will probably be able to place this Thomas.

What are you thinking of doing with the book?

HI

I have found links to the Caunce family in Rufford.  >I have an Ellen Caunce who married a George Lea, they had  daughter Margaret Lea who married Thomas Turner in Burscough.  They had Richard Turner, Thomas Turner killed Nov 1917 in Cambrais France and James.  I believe there were other children who may have died, but im not sure.  I believe the family Caunce had connections to Flash Farm, Flash Lane Rufford
