I'm still vegetating here.
A week ago we had a foot and a half of snow. Today it's melting, it's melting.
Even made it to the grocery store without a jacket! Whoopeee!

Extreme Makeover - Home Edition is in town rebuilding a house- lots of excitement in the area. They give them 106 hours for the rebuild. Everything is precisely scheduled and thousands show up to volunteer. This one is slated for the season finale in May. 2-hour special. Can hardly wait to watch it.

I'll be there on April 21st at Applebee's Which exit do we take to get there?

Hi all. If there are no objections, I would like to switch to the Ruby Tuesday's in East Syracuse, which is right off the thruway at Carrier Circle. The Applebees was a few miles away from the thruway exit, so I think this will be easier to find. I will send a PM to those confirmed with the address and phone number and directions. I don't know if I should put all that here.

If you are planning to come and I don't send a PM, please get in touch with me and I will send the information.

PERFECT Kath,

I did a look-up on Google Earth and this really is just off of the turnpike. (I-90).

Now I'm getting excited again!

Can't wait!
See you all soon!

Granma Anne pointed out that we hadn't picked a time. Does noon sound good? Let me know. I am very flexible.

Kristin wondered what kinds of things to bring genealogically to the meet up and that's a great question. I told her whatever she wanted: a family tree, pictures, a brickwall. I have a few special things that I thought I'd share (pictures, marriage cert things like that) as well as a tree, and I also have a brickwall that has been eating at me for 15 years. I would love some fresh eyes to look at it, so I will bring what data I have for that. I was just at our wonderful local independent bookstore and I picked upa  three-ring binder and some clear sleeves and thought I'd put my information in there. I can't believe how close we are now: 23 days and counting.  ;D

Just 2 weeks away now. I hope all who are coming are excited. One of the genealogical things I am bringing is my 15-year-old brickwall. I am actually on the brink (I think) of breaking through, so it could be very exciting to share that. If I come with even a crack in the wall, I'll buy a round.  ;D

I am going to bring a brick wall of mine that spans the Atlantic ocean.  Maybe in person someone will have the key to my brickwall.   :)  Also, a few photos, a copy of the tree and an open mind to hear wonderful enthusiasm about our passion for history!!!
