Deb,
It was my original idea to have a separate meet from the New England meet. After all, New York is a bit far from my neck of the woods for a day trip!
Looks like the New England meet is going pretty well; but, some way somehow, we need to get a few more warm bodies interested in a Southeastern meet, IF we are going to have one. Any ideas??

Kristin,

I hope he is feeling better, and I am in agreement with you, just a meet and share thing. I just panicked a little when I saw what others plan.  :o Wanted to make sure we were all on the same page.

If the Massachusetts folks wanted to join in, we could always drive into Mass a ways and it would still be a day trip for many. Maybe we New Yorkers need to pick a spot and then others can decide what works for them. Albany could be good, but if we have some Western New Yorkers coming also, maybe Syracuse would be a good spot, as it is more central, less drive time for all.

Nick is getting back to his naughty toddler self!  :D Never thought I would be happy to see him tear apart the house.

I am flexible as Albany or Syracuse is an hour drive for me. I am more familiar with Syracuse as I lived there for 3 years.

I remember the first time my son was really sick. I always thought it would be nice to have a quiet, calm kid for a day or two. I couldnt' wait to have my wild man back.  ;D ;D It was so sad watching him, so lethargic on the couch.

I am much more familiar with Syracuse also, but I am game for anything that is convenient for everyone.

What do others think?

Probably best to hold in a bigger city in central New York. Need ample hotel / motel space, and good transportation for those who may drive / fly in and not familiar with the area.

Yn9man,

That works. I think both Syracue and Albany meet the criteria for that. So it's up to people to voice an opinion. I lean toward Syracuse also, but am open. What do others think? Granma Annie where are you? :)

Kath -

I would also lean towards Syracuse.

Ok. That's three for Syracuse so far. Granma Annie, where are you?! ???

Syracuse has an airport, hotels (I'd be happy to look into some) and we could decide on where we wanted to hold the meeting, maybe a little restaurant, a library public room, whatever. We have a wonderful Irish restaurant in Syracuse, complete with leperchaun door and seating.  ;D ;D I think they have even put in a telephone for the wee folk to phone home.
