Hiya peeps

I didn't see this thread until Carl told me about it in the chat room ....thanks Carl ;D

I am in Jacksonville NC , East Carolina ... between New Bern and Wilmington...and I would be happy to meet anywhere on the east Coast.  I have just spent my Christmas hols in VA, DC,NJ and NYC so I do not have a problem driving anywhere , the only problem I do have is finding a babysitter for my kids. If we can meet after Dave gets back from Iraq, that could be his homecoming pressie from me ... LOL :) and hopefully some nice friend of mine would take up the slack.!!!~

Can you imagine the convo...' Hi doll, welcome back from Iraq , I am taking you on a surprise  trip for your  40th birthday.....you are going to met all the lovely peeps from rootschat!!!!!!'

later gators

love deb

My two cents worth ... Probably better if meeting was held on a weekend versus weekday.

Deb,

Welcome to the thread, and we can't wait to meet everyone.

yn9man,

That's great. Thanks for the input. I am spoiled being a freelance copy editor. It gives me great flexibility.  ;D

  Deb,
When is Dave supposed to be back in the States? That would give us some kind of time reference for planning purposes.

 All,
Since there seems to be so few of us in the Southeastern US, what would you think about combining our meet with some others from a primarily US genealogy chat? At least one person I know from there is doing UK research (they keep wanting to get me doing Welsh research! :( ). Maybe we can get a some of them on Rootschat!!
Just a thought. What say you ??

Carl -

Interesting thought and sounds promising. If you did get them to join Rootschat then it could still be a Rootschat meeting.

Agnes,

Fantastic.

I say we wait to hear Agnes's dates and then try to plan around that.
