Let's see.... That makes 2 in Georgia, 2 in North Carolina, and 1 in Florida, that I know of. Correct, so far?? I'd have thought there'd be more of us, somehow!
Any more Southeast interest??
I am in Virginia darn close to the Southeast so depending on the locale .... keep me in mind.
Yn9man,
I am from Watertown and am happy to help you with any research there if I can. What are your family names for there? Maybe I know some. The library is easily accessible and the newspaper has very user-friendly archive, along with some nice people who work there. Where in the Adirondacks will you do research? I was just up in St. Lawrence County in August doing some research in the courts and library there. I found some great stuff. I might be down to the DC area in April and would love to get to the National Archives, but I don't think that will happen this trip.
I hope this happen.
Kath
The surnames in Watertown are Coolidge (Coolage, Cooledge), Campbell, and Palmer. The time frames are from the late 1700s to mid 1850s. The Coolidge family came from Massachusetts and I don't know the background for the Campbell and Palmer families. They didn't spend much time in Watertown moving on to Antwerp and the Philadelphia areas and then to Rochester but also in Michigan for awhile.
Will send you a PM.
