City of London Burial Lookup request
« on: Sunday 31 December 06 15:31 GMT (UK) »
Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has access to City of London Burials?  I'm looking for the burial of William KENDALL.  He was deceased by May 1850.
Thank you
Kady

"data", "content", and "information" are protected, according to their terms and conditions, but I see no reason not to use a link, which, at least in my opinion, does not contain any of the above.

I don't understand that.  The link is no different to any other unless you had information in it.

It would be a good idea for you to add to your profile somewhere that Census information is Crown copywrite and add the url that is in my profile, can't see it from here.  It saves you getting into trouble when posting information.

And you too Loo

The city of London covered only the square mile of the city. Parishes such as Clerkenwell  which we take for granted as part of inner London now, were then officially in Middlesex. Within the boundary of just the square mile of the city were at least a 100 churches. The city of London cemetery wasn't opened until around 1856, whereas a Middlesex cemetery like Kensal Green was opened around 1833, but churchyards though filling up fast were still burying people into the 1840s and early 1850s.

Finding a London burial can be a bit of a nightmare but Biker has done a useful guide.
