Hi everyone,

If anyone is interested the East Yorkshire Family History Society do a map of the ecclesiastical boundaries of the City of Hull c1915, and on the reverse is a list of all the  Hull churches

hi there
my great grandparents were married in St marks according the Hull births deaths and marriages in 1892. i could not find it so i emailedthe rector of the parish where i thought it wasm but he said that there was no StMarks in the area, other than the one built in the 1960's. i am getting a copy of their marriage certificate this will give me a chance to find more out.

Hi Souxsie,

If you go to an earlier posting by West Norwooder you will see that St Marks was demolished in 1958. I've also got rellies who where married there.

Hi there, do you do facebook?  There is a group called Hull The Good Old days and there is a photo of St Mark's Church on there.  The gasometer next to the church has now recently been demolished.

ST MARKS CLOSED YEARS AGO IT THAT AREA AS ALL BEEN CLEARED THE CHURCH ,SCHOOL .
GAS HOUSE WORKS ,GASOMETERS. ITS ALL SMALL OUT LETS I WENT TO THE SCHOOL IN 1927
