Revd Titus Berry
« on: Thursday 28 December 06 21:51 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Does anyone come across the Revd Titus Berry of Norwich. I think he was living there in the second half of the eighteenth century.

Are you refering to the Rev. Titus  Berry, uncle to Sir Edward Berry and brother to Edward Berry?
If you are then please send me a note.

I suspected there was an uncle Titus from biographical information about Sir Edward..who was seemingly sent to an Uncle Titus in Norwich after the death of Sir Edward's father. Sir Edward also had a brother Titus who became a surgeon but I really know nothing of the Revd Titus Berry...Would enjoy exchanging information on Revd Titus and the other Berrys.

I too found the information about Titus in biographical details. What I am trying to do is find out the names of Sir Edward's brothers. I have traced my Berry line to a Thomas Berry born around 1760. He lived in Dulwich in the 1780s. There are also connections with St Andrew's Holborn and Shoreditch. I can't find Revd.Titus Berry on the Church of England Database.

I found the marriage date of Edward Berry and Elisabeth Forster as 23rd January 1766 at St Mary, Marylebone, London.
(Sir) Edward was the second son..the first, I gather was James. I have no record of a Thomas Berry as being one of (Sir) Edward's brothers.
Certainly the Berrys lived in London during their marriage.
By the way, Elisabeth Forster was born in Haleworth, Suffolk..the first child of Revd Thomas Forster.
I hope this information is useful.
