"The funeral of Sergt. Henry Attriall, of the 67th Company of Royal Garrison Artillery, who lost his life by the gun explosion at the Spitbank Fort, Portsmouth, on Thursday last, took place with full military honours at the Highland Road Cemetery, Portsmouth. Maj-Gen. J K Trotter, commanding the Southern Coast Defences, was present at the graveside, and all the principal officers of the Royal Garrison Artillery in the town also attended, as well as about 500 non-commissioned officers and men, all the other corps in garrison likewise sending representatives."
