I guess that the medal was for winning the Divisional Final, not the final itself as it states "Dardanelles Cup 42nd Divisional Final". Was the 1/10th Manchester Regiment part of the 42nd Division? Sorry but I don't know anything about how the regiments were organised.
I wonder who beat them in the next round? Maybe someone has worked out the full results. It would be great to read the war diaries for the 1/10th Manchester for December 1915 to see if the match was reported. I don't suppose anyone has a copy?
