Hi I'm George Page 15.
I am looking for a death of a William Page,last known at Isfield 1901 census.I wonder if S.K.S.has any info on the Isfield area or could point me in the right direction

Hi George
All the Deaths are free to search on www.ancestry.co.uk.     Choose the complete version fill in the name and then you can look at each quarter of the original records.   You should be able to find William with a bit of luck because you will know his age from the 1901 census.
Would he have left a will?   That is another way forward.  Electoral rolls may help too.  They will be at the Lewes Record Office.

Hello George,

The nearest I can find is the death of William Page registered in East Grinstead in Dec Qtr 1909. This states he was born c1838 which fits closely to the age given on the 1901 census.

Many thanks for info on William Page.I did have his death as bef.1905 but could be wrong,but birth date is right 1837 but I did check BMD for his death 1905 but found nothing.Will check after Christmas haven't time now.Anyway once again many thanks and wish you the seasons greeting.
