Hi Allie,
I've had a look on the Surrey Marriage Index & they're not there  :(  Also had a look in the 1841 & 1851 census for the family without any luck.
Windlesham is on the border with Berkshire so it might be worth bearing that in mind.  Also checked Pallots marriage index with no luck,

An Elizabeth Ann Jessop married Charles Hayward in Andover registration district in 1852.
On the 1861 census Elizabeth A Hayward aged 34 living in Andover, gave her place of birth as Bagshot Surrey (which would be in Windlesham parish).

1851 census HO107 1613 folio 738
Penshurst  Kent
Elizabeth Jessup  24 Bagshot, Surrey, Servant Unmarried Cook

No other Jessops show born Bagshot until 1871

RG10 94 folio 20
Thistle and Crown 40 Thomas Street St George Hanover Square  London
George Jessop 46 Bagshot, Surrey, Head Unmarried Licensed Victualler
Elizabeth Comport  82  Andover, Hampshire, Mother Widow
Rachel A Hayward  17  West Grimstead, Sussex,  Niece Barmaid

George marries after 1871.

1861 George wrongly written by the census enumerator as Jesson and is wrongly indexed with different parents though he is actually with his mother

RG9 63 folio 112
13 Masons Yard Westminster St James  Middlesex
Elizabeth Comport  72  Andover, Hampshire, Mother Widow Housekeeper crossed through
George Jesson 36 Bagshot, Surrey, Son Unmarried Servant

For the 1851 census this seems the only possible either as Jessop or Comport

HO107 1683 folio 394
High Street Andover  Hampshire
Ebenezer Comport  65 Shoreditch, Middlesex, Head Married Shoemaker
Elizabeth Comport  60  Andover, Hampshire,  Wife  Married
George Comport 20  Andover, Hampshire,  Son  Tailor
plus 2 lodgers and 1 visitor

Ebenezer is with his family in Andover in 1841 - wife Ann (and he has a son called George aged 9).
He remarries in 1850 but not to a Jessop.

Marriages Jun 1850
Comport  Ebenezer     Andover  7 81
May  Elizabeth     Andover  7 81
or possibly
ANNETTS  Eliza    Andover  7 81

so either this is a complete red herring or Elizabeth would have to have married three times.

Deaths Dec 1856
Comport  Ebenezer     Andover  2c 116

There is an earlier marriage of a Henry Jessop in Andover

HENRY JESSOP
ELIZABETH DEAVES
Marriage:  29 OCT 1817   Andover, Hampshire

The 1871 census gives you George and Rachel who you already know about and George's mother Elizabeth Comport.

Deaths Dec 1875
COMPORT  Elizabeth  86  Kensington  1a 41

Marriages Sep 1876
Hayward  Rachel Annie    Lambeth  1d 769
JESSOP  George     Lambeth  1d 769

George and Rachel were in Marylebone on the 1881 census (not surprisingly for an uncle/niece marriage (which was and is illegal) they married away from where they were living and only after Elizabeth's death.

The 1861 census confirms the 1871 census that the surname is really Comport and her birth place was Andover.

The 1851 census has an Elizabeth Comport of the right age and birthplace. There is no death or marriage for an Elizabeth Comport between 1851 and 1861 on FreeBMD (not a complete index but getting there). The 1861 census has only one Elizabeth Comport, a widow, of the right age and birthplace with her son George Jessop. Ebenezer Comport did die between 1851 and 1861 so Elizabeth would be a widow.
The 1850 marriage, if it is the correct marriage, will give Elizabeth's father's name and occupation and will show whether this Elizabeth's maiden name was Deaves and whether there is any connection to the earlier marriage in Andover in 1817.
It is of course a risk

Baptism Hampshire

16th August 1818 Henry Jessop - father Henry, mother Elizabeth
Overton

ok valda

the make more sense if george's mother remarried if she did then i guess that is where comport comes in right. also why was it illegal to marry your niece back then?

thank you for your help so far.
