Hi Holly,

I noticed your post.  Do you still have book?

I am interested in brassfounders?.

Is this trade listed, or brazier, brass finisher, etc.?

I am particularly interested in the Islington area and also Hoxton if this is listed specifically.  I am also interested in the Names 'BRINTON' (or maybe BRENTON) and 'DAVIS'.

I am aware of at least three BRINTON families in Hoxton who were described in cencsus returns as brass founders later in 1850-1860, but I do not know if they were in business on their own account or if they were simply day labourers.

I would be interested in any info you might be able to find.

This is quite old with no replies so feel free to transfer it.  It was prompted in the first place by an offer I saw made by someone else, but they are obviously not active.
