Hi Binge

My own Feest/Feast/Fiest research centres on Upper Beeding,  seems to be a hot spot for this name and not too far from yours.  Give me a toot if you find a link up.

I have my own parish map which is colour coded with IGI coverage and the area in East Sussex close to Falmer is poorly covered by the IGI.  Best coverage is Stanmer, Westmeston, Streat, Kingston, Rottingdean and Brighton.

Falmer and a whole bunch of neighboring parishes are poorly covered.

The BIVRI has two Mary's

according to my info (or legend)  My Mary Feest (spelling) is alleged to have been born in or around Falmer. I think this probably unlikely - both the Sompting & Steyning Marys have the nearer birth date to the 1740 that my Mary was presumably born. What we need to know is whether either of them went off to East Sussex to work of some sort.

You really need to check the parish register for Falmer.  The baptism may be there.    As you cannot find it on line then getting the film at your nearest LDS centre or going to the record office  are the best way forward.  Once you have proved she was not baptised in Falmer then you can look at the other options.

living in Goring by Sea I fear that for an OAP going to Falmere is not an option.
However I persist and see what transpires!!!

If you look at the familysearch site then they give a listing of all their research centres.  I am sure there will be one in your area.   You can then ask them to order the film of Falmer parish registers and you can search it there.   Otherwise it may be at Chichester Record Office - not too far to go, though most East Sussex records are at Lewes.

Hi
There is an LDS centre in Worthing, can't remember the road but if you look on the LDS website it gives the address.
