MIs St Marys Astbury
« on: Thursday 14 December 06 15:33 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have a copy of the MIs for St Marys?

If so, I'd be really grateful for a lookup for a Robert Buckley.  He married in 1776 so I estimate his birthdate to be about 1750.  His wife was called Sabra and she was born in 1756.  Hopefully the two will be together and hopefully this is enough information. (Other family is buried there).

Many thanks

Barbara

Hello Barbara

I see no-one has replied to your post - have you tried contacting the vicar at St Mary's Astbury?  I have found him to be very helpful and willing to do research in the registers for a reasonable fee.  I received digital photos and a print out from him within a couple of days of enquiring.

Hope this helps,

Susan

Hi Barbara,

I've checked the Astbury MI's and can't see a Robert Buckley in the timescales you are looking for.  Of course, that doesn't mean he wasn't buried there.

Barbara

Astbury is practically on the border with Staffordshire, have you checked any of the local Staffs churches, such as St James, Audley?

Just a thought.
