I have lots of information regarding the family which I collated for my friend the late Barrie Bradford, Amos's son and presumably your Mum's brother. You can view all the family on my web site at

Many hours of conversation with Barrie and my own research have convinced me that I was heading in the right direction, but of course I could well be wrong. Sadly Barrie is no longer with us to chat to. I believe the mystery lady you talk of being your Mums gran is Mary Matilda!
