How old is your grandmother on her marriage certificate - that should give a rough idea of when she was born, then we can look on the GRO index.

The GRO Index scans are free to view on

http://www.ancestry.co.uk/

go to >> England & Wales BMD Indexes

then >> Complete BMD Index ranges & Images 1837-1983

I found a Marie L. Taylor who died in 1956 (September Quarter), death registered in York, age 63 (So she would have been born c1893)

This is the only death that fits and I looked in 1955 and 1957 as well ...

But if she was married in 1908 ? she would have been 15/16 .... so maybe not her.

Did she revert to her maiden name Dunnett ?

hi paul i found this on a 1881 british census

john t(thomas dunnett)hackford norfolk head 43 farm labourer
hannah dunnett wife southery norfol aged 42
mary l dunnett dau feltwell norfolf 6
john dunnett feltwell norfolk,son 4
george dunnett feltwell norfolk son 3
charles dunnett feltwell norfolk 11months

charles porter southery 65 farm labourer  lodger

i think this might be my nannie  marie louise dunnett, but put as mary.

this was on a british census  household record.
what do you think,i beleive this fits as she was 22 in 1908 when she married  in
1908 leicester reg office
her father was john thomas dunnett (farmer) there was a john dunnett as a wittness
