Hugh McEACHERN b. 1776 Knock, Argyleshire, Scotland son of Angus & Mary McEACHERN, was married in Scotland to Mary Margaret STEWART (1780-1834) Morvern, Argyle, Scotland and they had the following children:

Hugh McEACHERN's second marriage in Argyle Sct was to Ann CAMPBELL and they had two children:
Jane McEACHERN b. 1835 Morvern, ARL, Sct, m. John McINTYRE;
John McEACHERN b. 1836 Morvern, ARL, Sct d. 1923 Strathdownie, Vic, mar Annabella McKENZIE;
Hugh McEACHERN was buried in a private cemetery on the Casterton - Penola Road, about 15 miles west of Casterton. His headstone states 'Erected by the sons of Hugh McEachern of Heathfield, in memory of their father who died 23 March 1863, aged 82 years'.
