Thank you for this information.  Would you have any idea how many people lived in Knock, Morven - just trying to work out the chances of another John McIntyre born 1833?

Hi,
Sorry, I do not know if there are more John McIntyres born in Morven 1833. Can you supply other family members names, I can then check Census transcripts to see if any further information can be found for you.
                                      Regards,
                                                   Duncan.

P.S. I'll check the 1841 census in the above book when I get a moment.

Hi Tiger Belle,
Since this is an old post, I trust you've already worked out who Hugh McEachern of Knock, Argleshire who you enquired after is.  I am a direct descendant of his.  The information below cut from this link:  http://www.ballaratgenealogy.org.au/digby/family/mceac_h.htm   I hope this is of assistance.
