I need to double check,  but I think the grave photo shown for a Samuel Longhorn is the uncle of my gtgt grandfather Samuel Longhorn who is buried in Kirk Ella.

My ggggrandfather was Samuel Longhorn who married Jane Kirby. Samuel married in 1871 and passed away in 1877. I believe both he and Jane are burried at Moorsholm. His parents were Thomas Longhorn and Lois Dickinson. Lois was from Garton on the Wolds and was born in 1804. Does this link to anyone elses interest in Longhorn.

My great grandfather was Charles Edward Crawforth born in Hull although his parents / grandparents were from Out Newton/Preston/Patrington/Paull etc.
I have amassed a huge family tree going back to 1681 for the Crawforths and have literally dozens of names and details of BMDs for every Crawforth up to the present day.
I have it on an Excel document that is easily e-mailed to any interested parties in return for any scans of old photographs of any Crawforths or details prior to 1681.
I also have quite a few photos to exchange as well.

I'm researching the HODGSONs originally from Lockington in East Yorkshire - some ended in the Hull area. My own  3G grandfather (John HODGSON 1788-1853) brewed ginger beer in Hull and many of his descendants went into the wine & spirit trade.

My 2xgt grandmother was Hannah Hodgson b 1820 in Walkington, she appears to have been the eldest of six children, the youngest of which was Cecilia b 1837 in Lockington, their parents were George and Mary Hodgson (nee Pickering)

My ancestor is John who travelled north to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, married a Mary ALLISON from Alnwick, moved back to Hull with 3 children, and completed their family of six children before moving to Pontefract. Only the eldest son stayed in Hull, two others ended in the wine and spirit trade in the Harrogate area.

Of the other Lockington born children I known nothing about William, Jane or Samuel; Richard I believe was a gardener in Beverley. Mercy married a William REASTON and I understand her tree has been extensively researched.
