Ross Keen Ireland

Could anyone please advise me if they have heard of Ross Keen? This is from the 1851 Census.

I have tried the Irish Time placename search etc.

Any advice, or perhaps a phonetic translation of this name, may help me.

I can't see Ross Keen though but you might find something to start with.

I wanted to have a look at the census to see if it definitely said 'Ross Keen' because often as you know these are often doubtful interpretations of someone's poor handwriting.
I can see 2 entries for 'Ross Keen' both of which are ascribed to English counties.
Would it be worth sharing the name etc so that people could try to read the name.

I just got a message from another rootschat member who googled Rosskeen and got County Cork- I did it then and there is also one in Scotland.

Dear heywood and luimneach

Than you so much for your advice, the place on the census is definitely Ross Keen, but it is part of the damaged census of 1851, and the names I am looking for are Toole and Dowd, also Ward, Lynch and Rafferty, so Cork sounds a good place to start!
