Hi,
The IGI batch number C168476 (
www.familysearch.org
) has the following baptism:
WILLIAM BOND
09 SEP 1810 Burlescombe, Devon
Parents: Henry BOND, Eleanor
There is also a baptism for ELSIHA BOND in 1807 with the same parents.
Regards,
Al

Thanks for that Al,
I think these must be the same people, strange that he is registered as 1810, I have some copies of an old bible which tell me it was 1807 but dates were unpredictable in those days.

Hi, I'm also descended from Henry Bond and Eleanor Roberts. I'd love to be in touch with other descendants, and maybe we could help each other with our research.
Thanks

From your post Sarah Bond [Davey] was about 60 years of age on her death, the FreeBMD death entry shows 55 years but the 1851 census shows suggested dob as 1824/5 which agrees with your information. He appears to be about 14 years older than her on their marriage so possibly he was a widower? His profession on the census is a vet.
