There are some Crudass baptisms around the area of Barnards Castle listed on the Genuki site.  I don`t think your William is there but there may be a couple of some help

Have looked through them. I was going down the wrong cruddas tree until this week, and most of them are in the wrong tree!
I think 1815 is just a really awkward date!

Although I have just found someone with a tree on ancestry who sounds like they have the same one, so there is hope yet!
