Would like more info, on children of     Richard Fahey and Bridget Kennedy..marr, 1864

Hello, I have an Andrew Lonergan in my family born Dohill, Tipperary c. 1873. He is listed on Irish Origins as being in the service and moved to Manchester at some point where he married my gg grandmother Bridget Bourke before dying in 1904.

I'd love to know more about where he came from and his family.

Best wishes

Hello Maria...the Lonergan I know of in my research is called John Lonergan, and I believe he may have been from Cahir, as most of the info, I have retrieved is from the area of Cahir and Bansha, I think, not certain though, that this would be a distance of five mile apart.
John Lonergan was a wittness to the Marriage of Richard Fahey/Bridget Kennedy in 1864 in the townland of Cahirabby, the lady wittness was a Mary O'Donnell.I am not sure if Mary was still single at this time, or whether she was married to John Lonergan, because from what I can gather, that even if a woman(wittness) was married at the time, she would give her maiden name in, this I believe was to determine the right person, as so many names were the same.

I believe also, that this John Lonergan was somehow related, although I have not connected it yet.

best wishes Sheila
