I am trying to find my gt gt gt grandfather's birth details. I know he lived in parish of Ematris, Corranewy townland in the 1850s but can't dfind anything else. His wife was Elizabeth Jackson

They had 2 sons I know of. One William who went to NSw and the other James my gt gt grandfather who married a sarah Campbell. they came to Glasgow in 1860s.

As well as trying to find out about gt gt gts I am also seeking siblings other than the 2 above.

If anyone can help would be v grateful.

Thanks

Ann

Hi Ann,

What denomination were the Campbells, Connollys and Jacksons?

Hi John

Oh what marvellous news! your gt grandad was my grandad's brother then (Robert was my grandad). I met your gt grandad a few times - he and my grandad were like twins.

Lol never knew we had folks in Norway! But we do have family in Oz, NSW who are James brother William's descendants.

If you could make another couple of posts I can send you a PM (private message) with my email addy as can't post it on the board.

You have put a smile on my face!

Sorry I skipped a gen there! My gt grandad John was your gt grandad's brother!

Your Matthew was named after Sarah's father.
