Glasgow Lookup Request

Looking for marriage and death information for a Jean Mitchell (born circa 1793) who married a Joseph Turnbull (born 1792) circa 1814 in Glasgow. 

They may have had 5 children ... Elizabeth Cross, Joseph, Jane Brown, Jean Mitchell, another Joseph and Mary Mitchell.

Joseph Turnbull may have married a second time in 1836 to a Jean McLlelan (sp?).   

Any help or leads are appreciated.

6th November 1814 & 20th November 1814 the Banns were posted for the marriage of Joseph Turnbull and Jean Mitchell in Glasgow and Barony

06/11/1814   Gros reference : 644/01 0028 (Glasgow)
20/11/1814   Gros reference : 622/00 0007 (Barony)

You have the children for Joseph and Jean Mitchell, but I'll post again here just to tie them up with the 1841 Census:

3. MARY MITCHELL TURNBULL Birth: 23 AUG 1830/ Christening: 26 SEP 1830 Gorbals, Lanark, Scotland
4. ELIZABETH CROSS TURNBULL  Birth: 21 MAY 1815 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
5. JANET BROWN TURNBULL Birth: 30 JUN 1820 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland 

From his second marriage to Jean McLellan:

1. FLORA TURNBULL  Birth: 10 JUL 1838 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
2. FLOREE TURNBULL Birth: 21 AUG 1839 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
3. MARGARET TURNBULL Christening: 29 JAN 1843 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland


The likely 1841 Census entry for the family, everyone shown as born in Lanarkshire apart from Mary Allan:

Jean, 40-44
Mary, 11 (from first marriage?)

Thomas, 3 mnths
Mary Allan, 80-84 b. Scotland

Since I still haven't been able to locate death information I can only assume she died sometime between the birth of her child Janet in 1820 and 1836 when her husband remarried.

Hi
Joseph Turnbull, born 24/5/1792, was the son of Joseph Turnbull, born1751 (occupation hosier) and Janet Brown, born about 1755 in Glasgow. They married either 15th March or 15th November 1776 in Glasgow. They had five children; Bethia Turnbull, birth date unknown, died 12/10/1847. Jean Brown Turnbull, born 24/8/1788. Janet Turnbull, born 11/4/1786. Joseph Turnbull, born 24/5/1792.

Bethia Turnbull was my great great great grandmother. Nice to find some relatives!!
