Hi Jamjar, Borneo,

Having spent a few hours researching this family over a few occasions to help...the family lived in Llanguich or Llangiwg (same place) from at least the 1841 to 1849 when Jenkin wed. 

If Hannah died within this time I would think she would be buried within the parish where her family lived, not the Swansea area.  If unable to locate would then look to the surrounding areas for a possible burial.  The Hundred of Llangafelach is a wide area, with many hamlets/parishes.

LLANGAFELACH , or LLANGYFELACH , a village , a parish , a sub - district , and a hundred in Glamorgan.

I believe from what we have learned, that they lived in Llangiwg, this booklet from the link Borneo posted, may help assist with further info for all family and possibly extended members.

Hi Cas,

Yes, I would have thought that she would be buried in the area. Stranger things have happened, though.

There is always the chance she died just before boarding the ship, so would have been buried near a sea port.

Only guessing I know.

I have just looked at the site for the booklet. Yes, it is much more expensive than any others. My luck! What would I expect to find in the booklet?

I think if it helped BMD for your family and possibly married partners details, it would be worth the £6.00 plus postage, cost is less than a one cert, but it would be up to you of course. 

It is always hit or miss, you never know it may hold the maiden name of Williams mother or may only be info you already know. 

It seems to have extensive info on the area with broad dates.

Cas is right. Go for this one first:

It's the cheapest and the more obvious, as Morriston I think now, is too far West.

I thought I would let you know that I spent on one family about £300. I got there in the end, down to 1809. The name I was looking for was John Thomas from Wales!!!!!!!!!

That's a lot of money, isn't it?  The problem with living in Australia is the exchange rate!

I'll be living in the UK next month, so things should be better for me then.

I have received the books as advised and there is nothing at all that I can link to my relatives. 

Any suggestions as to which directions I follow now?
