Hi Suepi,
Thank you for the look up. I am still at a dead end the address was on my mothers birth certificate for her father it had no christian name just Smith and he was a sailor was hoping it would help me to start her tree. I'll have to try to think of something else to try . Thank you once again.

I'll have a look in the street directories next time I go to the library as your mothers parents could have moved before the poll register date. What is your grandmothers maiden name just in case I spot it as I'm looking in that area
