Horatio Herbert BIRD, Look-up please.
« on: Sunday 19 November 06 12:55 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to do a Look-up for me please for this chap?

I believe that he was born in Cambridgeshire in 1916/17. His father was also a Horatio Bird, - but thats all I've got:-(

There is a rumour that the family were connected to Horatio Nelson...but theres no proof of this as far as I know.

Many thanks,
Romilly.

what do you need Crin' ?

Birth Index entry to order a Cert and confirm his parents names ?

Search for Father Horatio in 1901 ?

Theres only 2 in the country with that exact name  ..

Horatio Bird 1857, born Lambeth -  Head in Lambeth

Horatio P Bird born Wavertree Lancs 1898, Parents John & Sarah ...

and only the Lambeth chap in 1891 ...

Hi,

I just searched births Mar q 1916- dec q 1917 & the only one I found is the same as Tati.

May be others outside of that timeframe.

Many thanks for that folks!!

I guess that the Newmarket chap must be the right one...

I'm not sure where the Soham connection comes in, - perhaps he lived there?

I shall have to order the Birth Cert to check more...

Cheers, Romilly.
